Day One of Competition

The 2018 Adult Triple Crown kicked off with a bang for Joseph Clancy of Ireland who had a perfect 300 in his first game of the Mens Singles.  On completing play of the four games Glen Bailey (ENG) took first place with a score of 913.  Second was Pete Stevenson (ENG) with 909, third Barry Foley (IRE) with 893 and fourth Joseph Clancy with 855.

Next to compete were the Women in their Singles section.  First place was taken by Laura Marcham (ENG) with a score of 905, second Sophie Thompson (ENG) with 820, third Lynne Walker (WAL) with 795 and fourth Natasja Ailes (ENG) with 792.

The final play of the day saw the Mens Doubles teams competing in their four games with England “C” taking first place (Sam Rose & Pete Stevenson) with a score of 1709.  Northern Ireland “A” took second place (Billy Nimick & Grant Dugan) scoring 1639.  Third place went to Wales “B” (Chris Hignett & Steve Dalton) scoring 1630 while fourth was taken by England “A” (Glen Bailey & Mark Patrick) scoring 1617.
