ITBA Senior Grand Prix 2022/23 Finals

Hi all,

Hope you have recovered from Sundays Grand Prix.

From comments received, bowlers found it a great success, a great success indeed. Thanks to the brilliant staff at Leisureplex and Sean Kennedy. For making it a great success.

Sean says that the strings allow for faster games. The new format of the Ladies starting early and the men second plus using the full 20 lanes created a much earlier finish. Much appreciated by all. Last game finished at 2.35.

Thanks Maeve and Ken for the new format. Great that you are always looking at ways to improve the Tour and adding soo much to it.

Some of the scoring was incredible, with some fantastic games. There was a lot of dopamine hits ( no wonder some people were so happy). The Scratch end of the lanes 10 to 20 must have been better than the handicap lanes, that’s what I believe.

Congratulations to all the winners.

Fergal Mc Loughlin   Scratch

Theresa Watts           Scratch

Paddy Gibbons         Handicap

Dynphna Kestell       Handicap

Congratulations to all the qualifiers also.

I thought at one stage I was in with  a chance of winning the Handicap, but the brilliant playing by Paddy Gibbons put an end to that dream. Well played Paddy.!!!!

The format for the new Season has not been fully put to the bed. But we are getting there, With the help of Jim Donagh  ( The New ITBA  treasurer ) we hope the agree the new format soon, We will keep you all informed as soon as it is set in stone.

I would like to thank Peter, Maeve, and Ken for their Tremendous work in keeping the Tour going from strength to strength.

cheers Joe.
