Congratulations to all the finalists on Sunday.

Especially the WINNERS. It Was another good turn out with 40 players participating given that some of our Seniors were away.

The pattern offered its Challenges and brought some humility after the high of the Championships only 2 weeks ago.

As one Senior said to me.

The pins are in the same place as before but I still can’t hit them.

I felt his pain.

Thanks to Sean and Peter for doing the scoring, as this was a great help, again thanks to Leisureplex Coolock and all their Staff for hosting another successful Tour It was a nice gesture the pen presentation to Phillip for the 300.

As always a special to all the Seniors who turn up every time and make The Tour Special.

It was nice to see a new face, Pat Kemmy.

Thanks to the ITBA for the goody packs.

Again thanks to the other committee members for their great work as always.

Cheers Joe.

Hi all Seniors,

I just wish to thank Leisureplex for hosting a very successful Championships, thanks Sean, Peter and all the Staff.

I would also like to Congratulate all the winners. Some great games and close finishes, very exciting indeed.

Listening to some, including myself in this…..we might rename the Championships “ The Seniors (open) Championships” given that there were so many open frames.

BUT the oil parrern suited most and made for some high scores .

Well done all.

Especially Philip for a perfect display.

I would like to thank all the committee members for their tremendous work on putting the Champtionships together.

Thank to John and Tim for the fantastic job on the scoring.

Thanks Paddy for the video and all the photos.

I hope to see you all in The Seniors Tour in Coolock again in 2 weeks on Feb 5th.

Cheers

Joe Ridgeway.

Jim Ansbro (1941 -2022)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death, on 10th Oct 2022, of our beloved past ITBA President, Jim Ansbro. For many years, Jim, a true gentleman and accomplished bowler, was very actively involved with the monthly Seniors Touring League and loved his annual trips to the European Senior (ESBC) event.

Jim was conferred with Honorary Membership in 2019 in recognition of his highly significant contribution and distinguished service, including his pivotal role in representing the Association at both Sport Ireland and the Department of Sport. He served with such distinction as ITBA President from 2014 to 2018.

Many benefited from Jim’s encouragement and sage advice, while he always generously gave of his time. Our sincerest condolences go out to his wife Margaret, daughter Fiona, his five sons, James, Stephen, Edward, Michael and Paul and all his extended family.
