Dear Federation Member

The Federation is launching its pre-budget submission on behalf of Irish Sport this morning at a briefing to T.D.’s and Senators in Leinster House. I attach a copy of the submission for your information and can confirm that a hard copy is being sent to you by post.

The focus of the pre-budget submission is on the ability of Irish Sport to create jobs. In this regard, in addition to safeguarding current funding levels to Irish Sport, the Federation has called on the government to make an additional €1 per citizen available to create a specific job and participation programme fund.

It would not have been possible to put this submission together without information gathered from the Federation members and in this regard, I would like to thank you for your continued support and assistance.

In addition to the submission, I attach the press release issued in connection with today’s briefing as well as some photos taken at St. Laurence O’Toole’s National School in Sherriff Street. I would be grateful if you could publish both the press release and a copy of the submission on your website as well as highlight it through any additional communications channels.
